Message from the President
Greetings to EHS Members and others visiting this site. I hope you will find helpful resources here, including copies of papers presented over the last several years. In October, we had a very profitable meeting in Ft. Worth, Texas. Leith Anderson provided thought-provoking input, with many positive examples of the way his congregation is touching the lives of his community through preaching. We also enjoyed the stimulation from the presentation of papers, renewal of relationship with colleagues, establishment of new friendships, and a chance to interact with publishers. Some of us even got out to confirm the reputation of Cousin’s award winning beef barbecue.
As the president for 2009-2010, I am excited about the plans for October 2010, when Michael Quicke will speak on the topic of “Connecting Preaching with Worship.” You won’t want to miss what Michael has to share on this essential issue in church life. Remember it is also an opportunity to introduce a friend to the work of our society. So mark your calendar for October 14-16, 2010, when we will be meeting on the grounds of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. I look forward to seeing you there as we seek to advance the cause of biblical preaching.
