Message from the President
Welcome to the Web site of the Evangelical Homiletics Society! We are an academic society dedicated to advancing the cause of biblical preaching in our world today.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, it is my privilege to invite you to attend the 15th Annual Conference of the Evangelical Homiletics Society held at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary this October! The theme of this year’s conference is Multi-Cultural Preaching, and we are honored to have Rev. Bryan Loritts, lead pastor of Fellowship Memphis, as our plenary speaker.
Our world is constantly changing and so are the demographics of God’s people who are listening in the pews. While the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ remains unwavering, we want to learn how to effectively communicate God’s truth to an increasingly diverse and multi-cultural society. We pray that these days together in New Orleans will sharpen our thinking and practice as we explore and engage this important and enduring homiletical challenge.
